Interviews for the new entrants are ongoing at both schools. This is a reminder to all parents who wish their children to join Gombe Junior School or Scooby-Doo Daycare and Nursery School, to do so before it is too late because we are left with a few vacancies.

The construction of the extension block is still ongoing, they are now on the plastering level. The dining hall construction is also ongoing, they have started on constructing the pillars of the structure.





PLANS are underway to expand and equip the Uganda Heart Institute (UHI) with specialized modern equipment. The construction of the new hospital is expected to kick off in August this year, at a cost of $64.9m (approximately sh169billion). The executive director of UHI Dr. John Omagino said the land has been approved by Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and National Environment Authority (NEMA). Omagino further said, the funds for the construction has been borrowed from Islamic development Bank. “The expansion will give us a complete hospital with 200 cardiac beds, three operating theatres, cardiac catheterization lab, and facilities for research.” Omangino said.


President Yoweri Museveni has received and held a meeting with Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Tooro Kingdom. Oyo was accompanied by among others, the Queen mother, Best Kemigisa, several Kingdom Ministers and other senior Kingdom officials. The meeting took place Saturday evening at the President’s country home in Rwakitura, Kiruhuura district. The President, Omukama Oyo and his delegation discussed a number of issues related to how the Government of Uganda and the leadership of the Kingdom of Tooro can work together to empower the people of Tooro to overcome household poverty.
